By our own admission, we have had trouble these last few months delivering a perfect RSS news feed. Until now, our feed has been hosted by Feedburner, but due to all the recent Feedburner-problems, we decided to take over that task directly and deliver our RSS feeds from our own server, for several reasons.
We bought and configured a new server exclusively for our feed. Hence, the URL of Smashing Magazine’s RSS feed has changed. Of course, we are using a redirection, but it is not working in all cases. So please check your configuration and use the following URL in your feed reader or whatever software you are using to access our articles:
http://rss1.smashingmagazine.com/feed/
The old feed URL will not work any longer, so please update your SM RSS Feed, or, if you haven’t subscribed now, it’s best time to subscribe to our RSS-feed 
now. Thank you for understanding.
