calling a inherited over-ridding function

In my programming class today we started touching onto class inheritance, and the professor posed a question he couldn't answer off the top of his head.

In a hierarchical chain of classes where each one extends the previous, and overrides the same function lets say foo(), how would you call a foo from several steps up the chain, were super.foo() would only call 1 above.

Detect ARP poisoning(ARP spoofing) & ARP flooding

Address Resolution Protocol (ARP), because of its simpleness, fastness, and effectiveness, is becoming increasingly popular among internet raggers, thus causing severe influence to the internet environment.
ARP spoofing, also known as ARP poisoning or ARP Poison Routing (APR), is a technique used to attack an Ethernet wired or wireless network which may allow an attacker to sniff data frames on a local area network (LAN), modify the traffic, or stop the traffic altogether (known as a denial of service attack). The attack can obviously only happen on networks that indeed make use of ARP and not another method.

First, let me introduce you the tools I use are Ax3soft Sax2, there are many such tools, such as Sniffer, Snort, Ethereal, etc, I do not think that the Sax2 is the best tool, I just think that Sax2 is easy-to-use, it can quickly and accurately locate ARP source when ARP attack happens to the network, so as to ensure normal and reliable network operation.

Solution:
First, launch sax2 and switch to the Diagnosis View.
Diagnosis View is the most direct and effective place to locate ARP attack and should be our first choice. Its interface is displayed as picture1.

Picture 1 definitely points out that there are two kinds of ARP attack event, ARP Scan and ARP MAC address changed, in the network, and the attack source is clearly given at the bottom. Meanwhile, Sax2 NIDS will provide reasons of such ARP attacks and corresponding solutions.

Act 6.0 & Winfax - Symantec End Point - HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I need some big time help here. I will try to explain the issues, and hope that someone can help me sort thru this. I am running Windows XP Pro on my PC.
This all began with installing Symantec End Point. I had problems with the installation, so it was suggested that I use Clean Wipe 4 to remove remnants of old log files. All seemed to go well. Then I attempted to send a fax using Winfax. I have it integrated with Act 6.0. The first problem I noticed was a Fax/Modem Alert Message: Failed to read message variables. The only option there is an OK button. Behind that was a WinFax Pro Logging Warning: Phonebook Act Gary (this is my database). Opening the Act file Gary failed. Database failed to open. Event sent successfully. The faxes are being delivered, and the data is being recorded in Winfax, but not in Act. I have checked the settings in Act, and they all seem to be correct to make this happen, as it has been happening for several years. Upon inspection of WinFax, I discovered that all phonebooks, with the exception of My Phonebook were now inaccessible. When attempting to access any other phonebook from other Act database files, a call failed message is displayed. I tried all the tricks from the Symantec Forum, with no success. I uninstalled and reinstalled WinFax, with the same result. I hope this will make sense to someone, as I am completely frustrated with this entire situation.

Annoying File won't Delete!?

*This is the message you will see "Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk".

*The files properties to check permissions presented a very blank properties dialog.

*Its not a virus or anything because antivirus, anti-spyware, adware and even the CHKDSK wont work.

*The filename ended with a dot. For example "C:Documents and SettingsuserDesktopmyfile.". As far as Windows is concerned this is an invalid file name.

*how did this file get created? The file was on a file share which had been accessed by a Mac user. Macs tend to write all sorts of metadata to extra ._DSStore files and suchlike and had left this file behind.

*How to solve it? By prefixing your file paths with ?, (ie. C:Documents and SettingsuserDesktopmyfile.. becomes ?C:Documents and SettingsuserDesktopmyfile..)

*Using a command prompt I was able to delete the file using:
del "?C:Documents and SettingsuserDesktopmyfile.."

*If it is a folder/directory:
change "del" to "rd /s"

*How to use command prompt?
C:Documents and SettingsuserDesktopmyfile..
type:
c:
cd Documents and Settings > cd user > cd desktop etc.
cd.. == means back
