U3 USB Thumb Drive

Experiencing an issue with a U3 USB thumb drive; the Dell Optiplex GX280 restarts whenever the drive is removed from the machine - it restarts if ejected, safely removed or simply pulled. Other USB drives that do not have the U3 feature are not experiencing this issue. OS is WinXP.

Info about the u3 Drives: They store your programs and passwords and offer other security features. And Im curious if the U3 drive is supposed to restart the machine out of an abundance of caution.
